Ohio State: Buckeyes defensive tackle injured in shooting

COLUMBUS — Columbus Police say Ohio State defensive tackle Haskell Garrett was injured in a shooting early Sunday morning.
According to police, officers responded to a reported shooting at the 400 block of Chittenden Avenue just before 12:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found blood on the street and a shell casing according to a report by WBNS-10TV.
Following a blood trail, the officers were led to an apartment on East 11 Avenue, where they found Garrett with a gunshot wound.

Garrett was taken to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He is reportedly in stable condition and is expected to recover. According to NBC4, Garrett was shot in the cheek of his face.
A senior from Las Vegas, Nevada, Garrett has played in 33 games for the Buckeyes since joining the roster in 2017.
