Buckeyes spring game to be televised on FOX

COLUMBUS — Ohio State has become a regular on FOX thanks to the network’s Big Noon Kickoff games. FOX seems to love televising the Buckeyes.
Now the network is broadcasting the annual spring game in just a couple of weeks. Yes, Ohio State will hold its spring game on April 13 — a game that is traditionally shown on Big Ten Network.
But FOX will take over broadcasting the Buckeyes spring game this year. Iconic FOX duo Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt will be there for the game, according to Klatt. He made the announcement on his social media profile Monday.
FOX will televised the Michigan spring game the following week on April 20, as well.
The spring game will serve as the first chance for Ohio State fans to see the new-look Buckeyes roster in Year 6 under head coach Ryan Day.
The Buckeyes brought in former Kansas State quarterback Will Howard, All-SEC tailback Quinshon Judkins, who transferred from Ole Miss, former Alabama center Seth McLaughlin and former Ohio University tight end Will Kacmarek to the program. They also landed former Alabama signee and five-star freshman quarterback Julian Sayin. Oh, and Ohio State added Freshman All-American safety Caleb Downs, who left Alabama after his first season in college football.

But those transfers aren’t the only additions who will make their Ohio Stadium debut at the spring game. Five-star freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith headlines the incoming 2024 recruiting class that also includes defensive end Eddrick Houston, quarterback Air Noland and cornerback Aaron Scott Jr., among other top prospects.
And all of that roster movement isn’t even mentioning that the Buckeyes are bringing back stars who opted to return to Ohio State instead of heading out to the NFL Draft. Defensive stars J.T. Tuimoloau, Jack Sawyer, Tyleik Williams, Jordan Hancock, Lathan Ransom and Denzel Burke headline the defensive seniors returning for another year. And Donovan Jackson and TreVeyon Henderson headline the offensive returnees.
Don’t want to go to the spring game? It’s now going to be televised on FOX instead of Big Ten Network. April 13 is quickly approaching.
