Four-star athlete Legend Bey will sign with Ohio State after being released from Tennessee LOI
COLUMBUS — Four-star North Forney (Texas) running back Legend Bey has one of the wildest recruitments in recent memory. But in the end, he’s headed to Ohio State.
Bey initially committed to Tennessee in June. Then Ohio State and running backs coach Carlos Locklyn came calling in November. The Buckeyes were ultimately able to flip him following his official visit to Columbus.
However, Bey surprisingly flipped back to the Volunteers on the first day of the Early Signing Period. But rumors started to circulate across the internet about family issues and how he still wanted to be a Buckeye.
Well, rumors became reality on Tuesday. Bey was released from his Letter of Intent with Tennessee and he is expected to sign with Ohio State.

Scouting Report: “Ohio State’s late surge for Legend Bey paid dividends as they got one of the most prolific athletes inside the state for the 2026 class. Bey drew interest from college programs as an underclassman as a quarterback prospect; he cannot only sling the rock, but he is explosive in the open field and a home run threat every time he touches the football. After committing to Tennessee, there was chatter around Texas A&M that they could make a late push for the in-state four star athlete after landing an offer from the longhorns, Texas also became a factor the relationships with Carlos Locklyn, his lead recruiter, who knew him dating back to his time at Oregon ended up being the catalyst for the flip to the buckeyes late in the cycle.” – Rivals Mid-South Analyst Sam Spiegelman
