Ohio State linebacker Cody Simon selected by Arizona Cardinals in fourth round of NFL Draft

COLUMBUS — Cody Simon was one of the best leaders and best defenders on the top-ranked Ohio State defense that just won a national championship.
Now he’s taking that elite skillset, championship pedigree and top-notch leadership to the next level; Simon was selected by the Arizona Cardinals with the 115th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon.
He’s the eighth Buckeyes player to be selected in this draft.
Simon was elite for Ohio State during the last couple of years, tallying up 259 combined tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, one interception, 11 pass deflections, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery during his five-year career. Last season, his best at Ohio State, he had 112 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and seven sacks — all career highs as he lead the Buckeyes to the national championship.
He was also a team captain for the championship run, earning the Block O distinction last year for the Buckeyes.
Now he’s heading to Cardinals as the latest Buckeyes prospect to be drafted. Cody Simon is officially off the board.
