COLUMBUS — The Game is finally here. Ohio State at Michigan is next on the schedule, and both sides know the meaning of this rivalry contest to end the regular season.

The Buckeyes (11-0, 8-0 Big Ten) are entering the Big House to face a Michigan (9-2, 7-1) team that still has a chance to get into the Big Ten title game and College Football Playoff with an upset win at home.

So for the sixth time ever, Ohio State will enter The Game at 11-0. And the Buckeyes will do so as a 10.5-point road favorite, according to the folks at BetMGM. The total has been set for the matchup at 44.5 points.

Ryan Day’s program understands what this game means to the Ohio State fanbase and program. And he knows what a win would do for his legacy and his team.

“We know everything that comes with this game,” Day said. “We want to keep it as routine as we can and keep the guys focused on what we’ve worked on all year. The number one goal is to grade out a champion. We’ll come back in tomorrow. We’ll grade this film, figure out who’s a champion in this one, and quickly move on to the Wolverines.”

It’s finally here. Another crack at beating Michigan has arrived.

+ Ohio State is 9-1-1 against the spread this season. The only two games the Buckeyes haven’t covered in were the wins over Ohio, a push, and Purdue, which covered a large spread.
+ Michigan is 4-7 against the spread this season.
+ The Wolverines are 1-2 against the spread as an underdog this season; both straight-up losses have come when they’re an underdog.
+ Ohio State is 1-4 against the spread and straight up against Michigan under Ryan Day. The only cover of the spread came in Day’s debut edition of The Game, a win in Ann Arbor.
+ The Buckeyes are 6-0 against the spread in their last six games against ranked opponents, four coming in last year’s College Football Playoff and two coming this season against Texas and Illinois.
+ Ohio State is 16-11-2 against the spread as an away favorite under Ryan Day.
+ The Buckeyes are 3-8 against the spread in their last 11 matchups against the Wolverines.
