Urban Meyer decision looms
Ohio State’s investigation of Urban Meyer ended on Sunday, but it could still be several days until any decision is reached about Meyer’s status. A report from investigators will be handed to Ohio State sometime this week, and that will kick off the decision making process.
“Following receipt, the working group will share the report with the Board of Trustees in an executive session to be held next week,†the school release said. “As required by law, public notice of the meeting will be released at least 24 hours in advance. Following deliberations with the board, and appropriate time for consideration, President Michael V. Drake will announce his decision.â€
Though the report will be shared with the Board of Trustees, the final decision belongs solely to Drake and will not require board approval.
Ryan Day speaks
Ohio State has prevented players and coaches from speaking to the media since Meyer went on paid administrative leave, which means updates from camp have been few and far between. On Friday, acting head coach Ryan Day broke the silence by releasing a letter on his Twitter account with updates from practice.
Lettermen Row senior writer Austin Ward put together his biggest takeaways from Day’s opinions, including some notes on the quarterbacks and receivers.
