Omari Abor: Explosiveness, powerful hands make 5-star Ohio State must-get
Whether or not there are there ‘must get’ prospects in recruiting is up for debate but there’s no doubt that some recruits are, for whatever reason, more important for Ohio State in a specific recruiting cycle. For the Buckeyes and the Class of 2022, those players are becoming clear. Who’s on The List? Today’s player is Omari Abor from Duncanville, Texas.
There aren’t many players in the country with the combination of size, speed, productivity and upside that Omari Abor has.
The 6-foot-4. 240-pound defensive end from Duncanville (Texas) spends his game days playing against many of the country’s best high school teams. That doesn’t stop him from dominating. His work pops on the highlight tape no matter who the Panthers are playing. College coaches are paying attention, obviously. Obar has 25 offers from the best of college football. Playing for legendary coach Reginald Samples and the loaded Duncanville team helps, but the talent speaks for itself.
Ohio State. Alabama. Oklahoma. These are the teams hoping to convince the dynamic Abor to leave Texas.
The Buckeyes and legendary defensive line coach Larry Johnson will finally get their chance to meet him on June 4.

Ohio State has been very focused on Omari Abor for months. (Special to Lettermen Row)
Johnson is the reason that Abor is considering a college career in Columbus. The Buckeyes success pumping out and developing defensive line stars has his attention in a big, big way.
