Good morning, Ohio State fans, and welcome to the Scarlet Sunrise. Football will always be our focus, but every day we’ll cover news, notes and analysis from across Buckeyes sports. Join us each morning to get caught up on everything you missed in the world of Ohio State football, recruiting, basketball and more.

Curtis Samuel, Terry McLaurin joining forces again in Washington

Curtis Samuel and Terry McLaurin were teammates at Ohio State and part of the 2014 recruiting class for the Buckeyes.

Now years later, the stars are becoming teammates once again in the NFL. McLaurin has been the Washington Football Team’s best receiver for the last two seasons. Now Samuel is joining the Football Team and will pair up once again with McLaurin to create a potent offense in the nation’s capital.

Samuel, a former Carolina Panthers star, is joining Washington with a new three-year, $34.5 million deal. Samuel is fresh off a career-high 77 catches for 851 yards and 200 yards on 41 carries for the Panthers last season. Now, he’s with Washington on a new deal that will allow him to become teammates with McLaurin once again.

The Washington Football Team has had success with former Ohio State stars in the last few years. And they just added another former Buckeyes weapon.

Buckeyes set to begin NCAA Tournament against Oral Roberts

Ohio State is entering the NCAA Tournament with confidence.

The Buckeyes didn’t win the Big Ten Tournament, but the did come close, taking Illinois to overtime in the title game.

When they arrived in Indianapolis more than a week ago, the Buckeyes were riding a four-game losing streak. But after reeling off three wins in three days before the title-game loss, Ohio State has a sense of confidence as it prepares for the first round of the Big Dance.

Ohio State as a 16.5-point favorite, according to VegasInsider.com, in its first-round game on Friday afternoon.

Ohio State is playing some of its best basketball of the season as it enters the NCAA Tournament. But before the No. 2 seed Buckeyes tip off against the No. 15 seed Golden Eagles on Friday at about 3 p.m. at Mackey Arena and on CBS, Lettermen Row has all the details about what to know here.

Buckeyes running back target visits Columbus

Ohio State is in need of a running back in the class of 2022. The Buckeyes are recruiting some of the best at that position in the country.

That certainly includes four-star back Dallan Hayden, who made his first trip back to Columbus since moving to Memphis as a small child. He didn’t waste any time visiting his childhood home, but did see the parts of the Buckeyes campus that may prove vital in his eventual college decision.

On Thursday, Hayden and his father — who played at Tennessee — headed west to make a similar one-day stop at Notre Dame. Whether or not these visits lead to college decision soon remains up in the air, but it’s clear the visits were important for him to take right now.

What else are the Buckeyes up to on the recruiting trail? Who are the targets hearing from Ohio State the most right now? What does offensive lineman Kiyaunta Goodwin’s top-five list mean for the Buckeyes? Lettermen Row recruiting analyst Jeremy Birmingham and co-host Spencer Holbrook talked about those items and more in the latest edition of Talking Stuff, the Ohio State recruiting podcast. The duo also breaks down the three current members of The List and the odds for each to end up with the Buckeyes.

Talking Stuff is presented by the fine folks at Byers Auto.
