Three-star OT Aaron Thomas decommits from Ohio State

COLUMBUS — Ohio State has a top ten recruiting class in the 2026 cycle, but it has lost a commitment.
Three-star Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe offensive tackle Aaron Thomas has decommitted from the Buckeyes. Thomas is the No. 514 overall prospect and No. 39 offensive tackle in the 2026 class, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. Rivals ranks Thomas as the No. 40 offensive tackle this cycle.
Ohio State still has four offensive linemen committed in the 2026 class following the decommitment of Aaron Thomas. Four-star Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban offensive lineman Sam Greer, four-star Avon Lake (Ohio) interior offensive lineman Max Riley three-star Phoenix (Ariz.) Sandra Day O’Conner offensive lineman Tucker Smith and Three-star Mentor (Ohio) offensive lineman Landry Brede make up the class for first-year offensive line coach Tyler Bowen.
The Buckeye have also been recruiting a flip targets. Four-star Vero Beach (Fla.) standout and UCLA commit took an official visit to Ohio State for the Minnesota game on Oct. 4. Additionally, four-star Harrisburg (Pa.) offensive lineman and Penn State commit Kevin Brown was in Columbus this past weekend for an unofficial visit.

Ohio State also got off to a strong start with offensive line recruiting in the 2027 class this weekend. Four-star Liberty Center (Ohio) offensive lineman Kellen Wymer and three-star St. Clairsville (Ohio) offensive lineman Mason Wilt both committed to the Buckeyes following their visits for the Penn State game.
