Touchdown Club of Columbus to hold awards for college football's best
In the past 60+ years, the Touchdown Club of Columbus (TDC) has hosted and honored more than 2000 of the world’s finest athletes, as well as the greatest football players to ever take the field. And in early February, another group will gather downtown to be recognized for their accomplishments on and off the field.
The 64th Touchdown Club of Columbus will honor college football’s best, as they will hold their annual awards presentation on Saturday, Feb. 9 at Express Live! in the Arena District. Somewhat similar to the normal College Football Awards, the TDC looks to name the top player at each position like the nation’s top quarterback, running back and linebacker. Over 50 current and former athletes, ranging from high school to athletically retired, will be in attendance at the event.
The list of guests features a number of college football’s top players, and of course there can’t be a big event in Columbus without featuring a few Buckeyes. Five players from Ryan Day’s squad will also be in attendance while a handful of them have already been there before either in high school or being honored previously, as well as possible alumni.
