ANN ARBOR, Mich. – No. 1 Ohio State finished the regular season a perfect 12-0 with win over Michigan. The Buckeyes beat the Wolverines 27-9 to snap their four-game losing streak in The Game.

Following the game, Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore met with the media to discuss the loss to Ohio State. Here’s what Moore had to say.

Sherrone Moore’s opening statement:

“Obviously, very disappointed in the result. Credit to them and how they played and how they executed. We did not, to our standard. We started off fast, thought we started off with a good rhythm offensively. Defensively we held them with a big goal line stand, held to a field goal but we didn’t execute in the red zone, which ended up being the story of the game. And then the second half, not being able to get a rhythm. Offensively, they did a good job and credit for that … [but] there’s no excuse for it. We’ve got to be so much better, and they outplayed us today. So yeah, you’ve got a lot to work on.

Moore on the difference in the game:

“They just played better. They executed better. We didn’t play good enough. We didn’t execute enough, and they did when it mattered, and they played a better game.

Moore on how Michigan is feeling:

“Yeah, not good, right? I mean, it stings. Everybody stings. Stings for the seniors, stings for the program. When you’re in this 24/7, when you’re in this for 365, this hurts. And you work tirelessly to make this be successful. So, not just about me, it’s really about the kids and all the hard work. So, I’ll put it on me, always put stuff on me and self reflect, self look at and see what we need to fix and see what we need to do. But it’s got to be better.”
