How to watch Aaliyah Chavez commitment, No. 1 recruit in country

Aaliyah Chavez will announce her commitment on Tuesday. And OU has a chance to land the No. 1 player in the country.
From Lubbock, Texas, Chavez is considered to be the best player in the country, winning this year’s National Gatorade Player of the Year Award. Chavez finished her four-year career at Monetery High School 4,796 career points, averaging 35.3 point per game as a senior and leading Monterey to a 37-5 record and its first title. She holds offers from some of the top programs in the country, including Oklahoma, Texas, South Carolina, UCONN and Texas Tech.
Many believe it’s become a two-horse race, though. The Sooners and the Longhorns are battling for the five-star recruit. And on Tuesday, they will have their answer.

Chavez will announce her decision live on ESPN’s SportsCenter at 1 p.m. CT.
The Sooners are hopeful she will choose them, as it would be the biggest recruit landed in program history. With Raegan Beers, Payton Verhulst and Sahara Williams all set to return next season, Chavez could put OU into the next tier of contenders. And they have reason to feel confident, as her last stop before her decision was Norman. Chavez was in town for Oklahoma’s win over Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday.
“OU is definitely a great experience,” Chavez told SoonerScoop. “They play great basketball, play fast — that’s how I play. And I just have a great relationship with all of the coaches. She’s a great coach. I have a great relationship with her and just the way they play matches the way I play.”
