Oklahoma Sooners quarterback John Mateer (10) stands beside offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle after a college football game between the University of Oklahoma Sooners (OU) and the Missouri Tigers at Gaylord Family Ð Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, Okla., on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025. Oklahoma won 17-6.

John Mateer is not shying away from the criticism. The OU quarterback is well aware that the Oklahoma offense has not been good in recent weeks. The Sooners have struggled to move and score the ball, being outgained by their opponent in the last four games. Despite this, they have been able to win their last three games thanks to the defense.
