OU has unwavering faith in Michael Hawkins Jr. The sophomore quarterback made his first start of the season on Saturday against Kent State, filling in for the injured John Mateer. And it was an up-and-down debut for Hawkins, going 14 of 24 for 162 yards and three touchdowns through the air, while also running for 33 yards and a touchdown. His four total touchdowns helped No. 5 OU beat Kent State 44-0.
