You know OU basketball had no qualms with how Bedlam basketball went last season, so let’s go ahead and do it again.

The exact same weekend, as a matter of fact. CBS’ Jon Rothstein reported and SoonerScoop confirmed OU and Oklahoma State will meet once again in the 2025-26 season at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City on Dec. 13.

“So it means a lot to the fanbase to win this game,” said OU head coach Porter Moser after last season’s victory. “With us leaving to go to the SEC, it doesn’t mean rivalries have to die. I thought their fanbase was good, too. I thought both fanbases were great. The arena, the venue, everything was at a high level. Both fanbases came out. I thought it was great for the rivalry.”

It was divided as a neutral site as it could get. One half for OSU, and the other half for OU. It made for a great atmosphere. The Sooners, though, dominated for most of the game on their way to an 80-65 victory. Sam Godwin was sensational for OU.

“I’ll tell you what, starting lineups at the beginning, our red side was there,” Moser said. “I was like god dang, we’ve got 85% of the people there, but it was only because it was right in my ear. I just thought it was a great college atmosphere. Playing in the Thunder arena, two state schools going at it, both fanbases came out. I was just really happy for our guys, thought we played well. I thought we really played well.”

OU is coming off reaching the NCAA Tournament for the first time under Moser, earning a No. 9 seed. The Sooners have put in the work in the transfer portal.

And you want an extremely early prediction? ESPN’s Bracketology has OU as a No. 9 seed this week for next season’s Big Dance.
