OU softball 2026 SEC schedule released, Sooners heading to Texas

OU softball didn’t add many players through the transfer portal. But the two pitchers that it did? Well, the Sooners are going to see their former teams.

Road trips to Ole Miss, LSU, Texas and Texas A&M highlight another incredibly jam-packed slate for Patty Gasso and company in 2026.

OU, who won the SEC regular season championship and tournament co-champion in 2025, are ready for another eight-series, 24-game gauntlet.

OU 2026 SEC schedule

March 13-15: vs. Auburn
March 20-22: at Ole Miss
March 27-29: at LSU
April 3-5: vs. Kentucky
April 10-12: at Texas
April 17-19: vs. Arkansas
April 24-26: vs. Georgia
April 30-May 2: at Texas A&M

The SEC tournament will be played at Kentucky this season.

Sizing up the slate

OU has a bye during the opening week of SEC play before hosting Auburn on March 13-15 at Love’s Field. The Sooners defeated Auburn in three games to win the 2016 World Series. 

OU plays its first SEC road games at Ole Miss March 20-22, marking the first time the Sooners take a visit to Oxford. The Rebels advanced to the 2025 WCWS for the first time in school history. OU sophomore pitcher Miali Guachino was a star pitcher for Ole Miss as a freshman. 

The following weekend is at LSU. And here’s the other transfer pitcher going back to a familiar setting. Senior pitcher Sydney Berzon earned All-American honors twice with the Tigers before transferring to OU this past summer.

After a home series vs. Kentucky, the second half of conference play starts with OU visiting Texas April 10-12. The Sooners took three out of four games against Texas last year, sweeping a home series while dropping a 4-2 decision in the WCWS. The Longhorns won the WCWS.

Then it’s back home for OU and Arkansas at Love’s Field, from April 17-19. The Sooners and Razorbacks played one of the craziest SEC tournament games last season, won by OU on a walk-off home run by Gabbie Garcia.

Georgia plays in Norman for the first time April 24-26 as OU wraps up its home slate for the regular season.

After having the 2025 SEC Championship game rained out last year, OU and Texas A&M get a chance to meet April 30-May 2 in College Station. The Aggies earned the number-one overall seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament before being eliminated by Liberty.

A complete 2026 schedule, times, along with TV designations and single-game tickets will be released at a later date. 

Fall ball for the Sooners, including multiple Battle Series events at Love’s Field, is going to start the first week of October.
