OU has not lost its confidence in quarterback John Mateer. The Sooners are coming off a tough 23-6 loss to Texas, in which Mateer played his worst game. The Washington State transfer went 20 of 38 for 202 yards and three interceptions. It was his first game back since he broke his hand against Auburn and had surgery.
