OU wide receiver Keontez Lewis leaves in first quarter vs. Kent State
OU wide receiver Keontez Lewis left the game in the first quarter against Kent State on Saturday afternoon.
It was the first pass of the game from quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. and the pass took Lewis beyond the field of play in the back of the end zone.
Lewis ran full speed into the brick wall.
Officials immediately asked for trainers to come for assistance.
After 10 minutes, medical personnel were able to get Lewis onto the stretcher and onto the cart. The entire OU team went out to see how Lewis was doing.

Reports down on the field were that Lewis was moving his arms and legs.
An update late in the first half from OU radio’s Chris Plank said Lewis was up and walking around in the training room, doing well.
Initial evaluation of Keontez Lewis by OU sports medicine staff proved promising. Out of an abundance of caution, he has been sent offsite for additional testing, OU released in a statement.
