Sooners Land 2025 DL Ka'Mori Moore

For quite some time Oklahoma fans have been waiting to hear news from a Lee’s Summit (Mo.) North defensive lineman. And on Wednesday night they got some from an unexpected source, 2025 defensive tackle Ka’Mori Moore. The 6-foot-1, 310-pound prospect chose the Sooners after the Sooners Under the Stars event on Wednesday evening.
So what made the Sooners the choice for now for Moore?
“It just felt right (Todd) Bates, (Miguel) Chavis ,and [Brent Venables] just made everything better,” Moore explained. “I told Bates (before hand).”
The big defensive lineman came to Norman with his fellow 2025 offer, Isaiah Mozee, as well as their head coach Jamar Mozee. The nation’s No. 36 defensive lineman picked Oklahoma over numerous suitors. Included in that group is Nebraska, Iowa State, and UNLV among many others.
“We were (sitting) in coach V’s office. (We) talked for a while and when we got ready to leave I told him he was super excited,” he said.

Moore’s trip to Norman was his third since last September. He picked up an offer last month when he camped on June 1 after catching Oklahoma’s loss to Kansas State on Sept. 24. The week before the Wildcats came to Norman he was in Lincoln, Neb. to see Oklahoma’s 49-14 win over Nebraska.
Those same Huskers were a 51.6-percent favorite according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine to land Moore over the Sooners. Oklahoma was seen as a 45.1-percent probability to land Moore prior to his decision on Wednesday.
Moore is Oklahoma’s third commitment in the class of 2025 and first on the defensive side of the ball. He was preceded by quarterback Kevin Sperry and wide receiver Gracen Harris.
