OU head coach Brent Venables avoided this situation in September. But that didn’t mean he could avoid it the rest of the way.

Wins against Michigan and Auburn kept the fans happy, for that moment. However, an uninspired loss to Texas has all the questions popping up again.

Even if you believe (or borderline know) that quarterback John Mateer will never play that bad again, OU still needs some help with its rushing game.

However, perhaps this can be that week where OU finds it? South Carolina isn’t a beast in that department. A couple of teams coming off losses the week before, just like last year.
