SoonerScoop Podcast: OU has little flaws in blowout win

OU started the 2023 season out with a dominant performance, blowing out Arkansas State 73-0. And the SoonerScoop crew broke it all down after the game.
Carey Murdock, Eddie Radosevich, Josh McCuistion, and George Stoia went through the entire game, talking about who impressed them for OU the most in Game 1 of the season.
Receivers standout on offense
*Dillon Gabriel was great, but how about Jackson Arnold? The true freshman stole the show once he entered the game. But it also looks Gabriel could have a breakout year.
*OU actually does have playmakers at receiver. Whether it was Andrel Anthony, Jayden Gibson, Gavin Freeman, or Nic Anderson, OU’s receivers showed up Saturday.
*It’s an embarrassment of riches at running back for OU. Tawee Walker led the way, but is Jovantae Barnes the Sooners’ best back?
*The OU offensive line has potential. A lot of guys got to play up front and they impressed the SoonerScoop crew with their physicality.
OU defense shows physicality
*Should we be concerned about the pass rush? That might be the only flaw from Saturday, but it’s also too early to tell.

*Gentry Williams is a star in the making. The OU sophomore cornerback got his first career start Saturday and he did not disappoint.
*Are we concerned about Jaren Kanak? Kanak didn’t flash like some thought he would, while Kip Lewis stole the show at linebacker.
*Where was PJ Adebawore? We didn’t see much of the five-star OU freshman and want to see more of him soon.
*The safety position is deep. Reggie Pearson made his presence felt often on Saturday. It’s been a long time since OU had that much depth on the backend.
