The SoonerScoop crew is back for another edition of the Unofficial 40 podcast, and there is a whole heck of a lot to get through.

Buckle up.

It’s a dead period in recruiting, but in name only. It is going to be a massive seven-day stretch for Oklahoma on the recruiting trail. More and more decisions are going to occur.

It could be good. It could be bad. But it’s definitely going to be interesting.

Three major decisions are set to roll before the SoonerScoop crew gets back together. Recruiting editor Josh McCuistion breaks it all down.

*RB Caden Durham – After months of OU looking like the favorite, LSU has gained tremendous steam heading into Thursday’s announcement. Sooners or Tigers?

*2025 WR Jaden Nickens – A last-minute visit to OU on July 31 right before the dead period feels like a tremendous sign. Wide receivers coach Emmett Jones continues to put in that work. Nickens will have his announcement Saturday afternoon.

*DE Williams Nwaneri – Oh yea, just the No. 1 overall prospect making a call. Nwaneri is set to make one program very happy 7 p.m. Monday. He has a final five, but it feels more like a final three of OU, Missouri and Georgia. Depending on who you talk to, it’s a crapshoot less than a week out. The Sooners won’t go away, but the Tigers are surging.

OU preseason camp Week 2

It has now been five practices since the last Unofficial 40. The SoonerScoop crew has been able to view 40 minutes of practice on two separate occasions.
