That’s exactly what OU fans wanted to see. To see that type of dominant performance when people are wondering the mindset.

Wonder no more. OU was brilliant in a 42-3 shellacking of Temple. Offense, defense, special teams. That’s the type of game that you want as you begin SEC play next week.

Still, there are some questions. Not a lot but some. Then there is the status of defensive end R Mason Thomas to be worried about, after his targeting call.

But big picture-wise? OU fans have every reason to be feeling incredibly good after the initial three games of the season.

Murdock summary:

The Sooners went out and took care of business against Temple winning 42-3 and displaying their dominance on defense. It was a promising development with Auburn coming to Norman next week. But there are some personnel concerns coming out of the game. R Mason Thomas was ejected for targeting and is facing a first half suspension next week. Will Brent Venables and the Sooners appeal the suspension?

Also, one of OU’s top receivers, Keontez Lewis left the game and could have suffered a concussion. We asked Brent Venables for an update after the game. And once again Jaydn Ott played in mop up duty once again. What’s going on there? That’s the bad and there was plenty of good to talk about on Saturday. Carey, Eddie and George break it all down as we have plenty of individuals to celebrate after this performance. No, the offense was not perfect. But it’s better to be wanting more after putting up 42 points than it is to be upset at a total lack of production as we were game after game a year ago. And Tory Blaylock continues to impress. The true freshman looks every bit the part of RB1.

All that and all the banter you’ve come to expect from the Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast from SoonerScoop.
