OU fans might celebrate through the week. Now that the Sooners are off to close out the month, sit back and enjoy what happened against Auburn.

Because what happened? Two very good teams in a very tight, contested contest. Ultimately, OU had all the answers in the final seven minutes to earn the 24-17 victory in Norman.

Far from easy, far from always being perfect but everything that is great about college football. A win that now has OU not just knocking on the door of the top 10. No, the Sooners vaulted from No. 11 to No. 7 and have a pair of very impressive wins for September.

This was the vision when Brent Venables arrived at OU once again. A punishing defense. A creative offense, all working together to show everyone who the Sooners are.

Relive it all. It is time for the Sights & Sounds from SoonerScoop video editor Eddie Radosevich. Hey, put it on the big screen. Watch it over and over, you know you want to.

Offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle

“It’s huge because winning football games is not easy and being in those tough moments in crunch time whenever you have to do it and you rally together as teammates and you execute the plan out there, I think it just builds a lot of growth, a lot of — the word is probably validation in themselves that we can go out here and do this. Now we’re just onto the next one. And that’s really all that matters. Our goal is not to be 4-0. It’s never been our goal. It’s been to take care of business the next week. But being in those moments and having those opportunities to grow and seizing those moments, it’s huge for the development of these guys and this offense and this team as a whole.”
