It felt like an OU game that could go a number of different ways. Instead, it was another case of where the PTSD from 2024 should be long gone for the program and the fans.

OU was simply dominant in taking down Temple in Philadelphia. That’s what the good teams do. And we’re getting closer and closer to saying Team 131 is indeed a good team.

Perhaps great? Well, we’ll find out together in the weeks and months to come. As for last Saturday? Not much more you could have asked for.

Great start, never let up, let some young guys play. That’s the recipe everybody was hoping for in a game like that.

Time to relive it all. Time to take a look back at the domination with SoonerScoop video editor Eddie Radosevich with the Sights & Sounds.

Knocking on the door of the top 10, OU is now ranked No. 11 in the country.

Brent Venables’ opening statement

“We had a lot of good young players that are playing significant minutes, and that’s going to bode well as we continue to build our team and just get incrementally better. A lot is revealed when you go to game day. You find out some good, you find out some areas where you’re not so good and where you gotta improve. A lot of times, you don’t know all that until you get back and you get on the film and get a chance to look at it. But proud of the guys, just for good tough-mindedness. It’s a fun group. They’re very competitive. They were very good from the time we got on the plane. Just a real passionate, high-energy football team that believes in themselves and one another. They like to play and compete. So it was cool to see.”
