SoonerScoop video: Tawee Walker enters transfer portal; Andy Staples joins show to talk OU

OU has its next offensive playcaller in Seth Littrell and co-offensive coordinator in Joe Jon Finley, but what’s next for the Sooners?
Oklahoma will know its fate for the postseason this Sunday when the bowl announcements are made. Right now, sitting at No. 12 in the College Football Playoff rankings, it appears OU will be headed to the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 28 to face No. 15 Arizona. But some believe the Sooners deserve to be in a New Year’s Six bowl, including On3’s Andy Staples.
Staples joined SoonerScoop.com’s Eddie Radosevich and George Stoia to talk about bowl projections, OU’s new offensive coordinators, the transfer portal and what to expect this championship weekend.
Also on this week’s show, Radosevich and Stoia talk about the four players who were first-team All-Big 12 selections. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel, wide receiver Drake Stoops, safety Billy Bowman and linebacker Danny Stutsman were all honored by the conference.

And midshow, the SoonerScoop.com crew learned that running back Tawee Walker entered the transfer portal Thursday. What kind of impact will that have on the Sooners? Walker was OU’s second leading rusher this season, totaling 496 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.
“First and foremost, I want to thank the whole coaching staff at the University of Oklahoma,” Walker said in a social media post. “I want to thank all the fans, and everyone who supported me through my journey. I have loved my time here, and will always love the university. With that being said, I will be entering my name in the 2024 transfer portal. I believe that is the best decision for me and my family. Once again thank you for everyone who was a part of this journey. I have nothing but love for Oklahoma.”
