Why can't OU run the football? A deep dive into the numbers

OU can’t run the ball.  At the very least, it can run the ball effectively. It has become a major problem for the Sooners, as evidenced by their exposure against Texas in the Cotton Bowl. Oklahoma ran for only 48 yards on 30 attempts versus the Longhorns.  But why can’t OU run the ball?
