4-star LB Anthony Davis locks in Ole Miss official visit

Ole Miss will host one of the nation’s top linebackers for an official visit June 6 as four-star Loganville (Ga.) Grayson linebacker Anthony Davis will be in Oxford that weekend.
It’ll be his first trip back since his April 17 visit to Ole Miss, where the Rebels wowed him. Defensive coordinator Pete Golding spent plenty of time with him.
“The hospitality they showed me and my family was like no other,” Davis said of that visit. “I sat down with the DC for a hour just going over how I fit their scheme and it was great.”
Auburn will host him this weekend while Alabama has an official visit set for June 20. Ole Miss is among the programs that’ve made it hard on Auburn in this one as the Tigers are considered the team to beat.

“Ole Miss has made things interesting,” Davis told On3’s Chad Simmons after his January visit. “The hospitality and the way they want to play for me really caught my attention.”
Later this summer, he’ll make his decision.
“I’m taking my OVs and will commit in July,” he said. “I’m looking forward to that.”
