4-star TE JC Anderson commits to Ole Miss over Auburn, Illinois

Decatur (Ill.) Mt. Zion four-star tight end JC Anderson has committed to the Ole Miss Rebels, he announced on Tuesday. The 6-6, 230-pounder picked the Rebels over Auburn, Illinois and others.
The 2026 commit gives head coach Lane Kiffin one of his highest-rated tight end commits since he’s arrived in Oxford. Assistants Joe Cox and Jake Schoonover were a part of the key group that helped secure Anderson for the Rebels.
Ole Miss hosted him all the way back on May 30 for his official visit followed by trips to Auburn and Illinois. Still, the Rebels won out in the end.
“It was an amazing visit and weekend,” Anderson said. Auburn, Illinois and North Carolina are the competition. “There are a lot out things that excite me about Ole Miss but to name a one I would say coach Joe Cox. He’s one of the main reasons Ole Miss is a heavy contender for me. Sitting in meetings with him shows me how diverse he is with his football knowledge and how good of a teacher he is, and not only that but he’s also just a great guy to be around.
