March Madness is here and college baseball is rocking and rolling in conference play. And Ole Miss women’s hoops is trying to punch its ticket to the Sweet 16 as well. On this episode of “The Flagship”, presented by College Corner, Grayson Weir is here to kick off your week with a recap of the first two rounds and the Rebels’ win in Knoxville.

Saturday was the lone highlight for baseball. Ole Miss was out-scored 30-7 and run-ruled in a pair of bookend series losses. As a result, the Rebels dropped in Top 25 polls released on Monday. Ole Miss entered the rankings (at No. 17) for the first time this season last week.

Baseball America now has the Rebels (17-8, 3-3 SEC) at No. 22. Ole Miss next hosts Kentucky (20-4, 5-1) for a three-game set this weekend. The Wildcats sit atop the SEC standings. They’re also D1 Baseball’s No. 24-ranked team this week.

Ole Miss baseball player Andrew Fischer (3) bats during an SEC game against Southern Miss at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Miss. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.

“You want it to be easy. It’s human nature. But this league will expose you.”

The fellas also talk about their brackets, what to think of the first two rounds of games, what to make of the remaining 16 and who the favorite is to win it all. Tune in as the case is made for UConn, Houston and Arizona.
