Ole Miss' Michael La Sasso and Cam Tankersley set for U.S. Open: How to watch, tee times, odds

The Ole Miss men’s golf team wrapped up a strong 2024-25 season last month, reaching the final four team to compete for the NCAA National Championship. The program also earned its second individual National Champion.

Michael La Sasso joined Braden Thornberry as Ole Miss men’s golfers to win the national title, winning by two strokes at La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California on May 26.

Winning earned him exemption into this week’s U.S. Open, adding to an already busy Summer for La Sasso on the PGA Tour circuit.

He is not the only golfer representing Ole Miss this week in Pennsylvania. Teammate Cameron Tankersley qualified for the U.S. Open ahead of the National Championships, putting two Rebels in the field at this week’s major tournament.

La Sasso is paired with James Hahn and Mark Hubbard for the first two rounds. They will start Thursday at 7:35 a.m. CT on the first hole. Then on Friday will tee of on the hole No. 1 at 1:20 p.m. CT for the second round.

Tankersley is playing with Jinichiro Kozuma and Chase Johnson the first two days. They start on Thursday at 7:46 a.m CT and then Friday’s second round will start at 1:31 p.m. CT for the trio. The group will start on the back nine in both rounds.

The odds are long for an Ole Miss golfer to win the nation’s championship. La Sasso is currently at +50000 to win it all but +7000 to finish in the top 5 and +2200 to finish in the top 10 including ties. They are even longer for Tankersley with +150000 to win, +40000 for a top 5 and +12000 for a top 10. These are all according to Draft Kings.
