WATCH: Ole Miss staring down elimination after opening-round loss in Oxford Regional

Murray State has put Ole Miss in a hole in the Oxford Regional.
The host Rebels fell behind the 4-seed Racers early in Friday night’s opening round and ultimately suffered a 9-6 loss. Ole Miss (40-20) and Western Kentucky (46-14) face off at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday in an elimination game. The Hilltoppers lost to Georgia Tech 9-2 on Friday.
“Once we decided on going with Riley (Maddox), the decision was we’ll do whatever we need to do to win the game,” Rebel head coach Mike Bianco said. “In this format you gotta win the first two to have an advantage. We went for it tonight and unfortunately we weren’t good enough and got beat.
