A'Mauri Washington: "I just want to keep improving every time I hit the field."

The Ducks return a key participant from last season on the defensive line that will be ready to make the leap into a starting role this year. A’Mauri Washington was a part of the rotation a season ago and that experience might give him a leg up on earning more of a starting role this season.
Dan Lanning has a number of quality players on the defensive line that figures to contribute this season. However Washington might be one of the leaders of this group. He talked about what he’s working on this Spring and how this group continues coming together.

“I would say my focus I just want to keep improving every time I hit the field. I want to come in and just be outstanding.”
On Being a Room Leader:
“I would say probably year 3 coming in, a lot of the guys already knew, I don’t think we needed to talk about it. We just need to take it up a notch.”

On Learning from the Previous DL Group:
“Watching them they used to play the run really well last year. I feel like taking that and adding it to my game is a big help.
On Bear Alexander:
