Bear Alexander: "You know this one definitely lit a fire up on our coaches."

Oregon defensive line transfer Bear Alexander has started to emerge the last two weeks. He’s becoming the player many expected at Georgia and USC and now at Oregon. He’s making the most of his last chance before he heads to the NFL.
Alexander talked about his transformation as a Duck and what’s clicking. He also went in-depth on what Indiana brings to the table and how this team has responded to the loss so far.
On Growth in Recent Weeks:
“No, at the beginning, man, it was just a lot of stuff I was still growing from.
You know, we just prepared every day, being pushed by Coach T, Coach Tosh, just having the lead preparation to get to this point and to continue to execute. Just having the lead preparation to get to this point. I’m going to continue to execute.”
On Facing Back-to-Back Losses:
“You know, this one definitely lit a fire up on our coaches. I’m sure the players, too. You know, we just – we back to work. You know, it’s a work week. You know, we got to grow from it, learn from it, continue to get better as the season goes on.”

On Defensive Lines’ Growth:
“Just continuing to tear out blocks, man, and just sticking to our fundamental techniques, you know, just sticking to our D-line code, you know, and just continuing to tear out blocks.”
On Facing a Pass-Heavy Offense:
“You know, it’s exciting. Anytime we get the opportunity, man, to get after this guy, you know, we definitely want to increase our amount of sacks we got as a whole up front. So it’ll be a good opportunity to get after these guys.”
On Shaking the Loss:
“Man we can’t get down ourself. You know those guys obviously, Indiana’s a good team. They played a cleaner game than us so just something we got to shake back from. Improve, get better as a group come out ready to kick ass.”
