Since we have some readers who like to gamble, I thought I’d put together a quick article on five wagers I like this week. For those who don’t know, I’ve been known to dabble a bit in some gambling of my own.

There are some appealing wagers I like this week. And I’ve offered them up below. This will be a new weekly contribution from me moving forward.

Let’s get right into it.

**Please note that when participating in any form of gambling, it is crucial to understand that it is for entertainment purposes only and that you wager at your own risk.***

Georgia Tech +3.5

This line has come down a little bit as the week has progressed. But I still like Georgia Tech at home getting 3.5 points.  Georgia Tech’s defense has quietly improved, especially against the run, and they’ve been strong at limiting explosive plays, which Clemson has struggled creating anyways. Their offensive versatility and balance with Haynes King gives them the ability to counteract that stout Clemson front 7. I expect this to be a relatively low scoring game, so I’ll take the 3.5 points at home against a Clemson team who has underwhelmed thus far.

Oregon -27.5

I almost never wager on Oregon games as it is hard to be truly objective when the Ducks are involved. However I think this line provides some value, even on the road with an 9 am PT kick off. Oregon’s offense is firing on all cylinders and the defense has been similarly stout. The Ducks’ defense has the ability to force turnovers at a high clip and should feast on a shaky Northwestern offensive line. I don’t see this NW offense scoring more than 10 points against Oregon. And I believe Oregon will score at least 38 against NW, giving the Ducks a good chance to cover.

Texas Tech -23.5

Texas Tech’s offense thrives against overmatched defenses, and I think Oregon State lacks the size and speed to slow them down. The only question is how many points can the Beavers score? If Texas Tech can hold the Beavers to three TDs, this should be a comfortable cover by the Red Raiders

Vandy-South Carolina Over 47.5

While South Carolina has a talented defense, I think Diego Pavia and the prolific Vandy offense will still be able to put up 20+ points and this game will go over 47.

UAB -10.5

UAB’s offense has been quietly very good, averaging 466 yards and 38 points per game.  I think they will be too much for Akron to keep up with.
