Dan Lanning Set to Hire WKU's Carlos Locklyn as RB Coach

Dan Lanning might be in Georgia getting ready for his playoff game, but he continues doing work for Oregon.
Thursday morning it’s being widely reported the Ducks will hire Western Kentucky’s running back coach Carlos Locklyn for the same position at Oregon. (I believe 247Sports’ Brandon Marcello first reported the move)
*Current* running back coach Jim Mastro is expected to join Mario Cristobal in Miami.
This was the lone season for Locklyn at Western Kentucky, which featured an explosive offense. He previously worked in an off-field role at Florida State and Memphis with current offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham.

THE GOOD NEWS
Coach Locklyn will inherit one of the most stacked running back rooms in the country. Oregon has power backs, speed backs and depth that is almost unmatched nationally.
Other than Travis Dye, who has yet to announce a return or not, Oregon has a ton of youth in this position group so coach Locklyn will be tasked with continuing their development.
Oregon did not sign nor recruit a running back in the 2022 class.
