Dana Altman notches 300th career win at Oregon

Oregon not only extended its season with Tuesday night’s win over Utah State. It also notched a pair of significant milestones for head coach Dana Altman.
With the Ducks’ 83-72 win over the Aggies, Altman reached his 300th career victory at Oregon.
Altman, who become Oregon’s all-time winningest coach in 2019, was asked about the achievement during his postgame radio interview but did not necessarily acknowledge it.
“The guys really did a good job,” Altman said. “I’m so happy for them. … It’s been a tough year for the guys. Just to see them smiling and feeling good and going on the road, it was good.”

Tuesday’s win was also Oregon’s 20th victory of the season. Altman and the Ducks have now reached the 20-win mark each year since he arrived in Eugene in 2010-11.
Altman currently sits at No. 24 on the list of all-time winningest Division I men’s basketball coaches with 709 career victories. He is 10 victories behind Phog Allen and Don Haskins for No. 22 all-time.
