On Wednesday media met with select student-athletes following Oregon’s practice. This is Oregon’s final open practice of the week.

Oregon linebacker Devon Jackson has become a key piece of this defense so far this season. His athletic ability on full display on multiple occasions so far this season. The talented backer talked about working through the bye week and preparing for UCLA.

You can view some of his comments below or watch the full video included.

On Improvements to this Season:

“Film study. Really knowing what I see vs just knowing my job as a defense. It’s not just me being reactive, it’s being proactive so I know what’s coming and I can get to the play that much faster.”

On the Bye week:

“Just keep the momentum up. Just keep going hard in practice. We gotta keep stacking days and going up.”

On UCLA’s QB:

“Solid quarterback. He likes to scramble. Will take his shots downfield. But we gotta do what we need to do.”

On ‘keeping him in a cage:’

“We can’t let him run. Keep him contained.”
