Ducks Hosting Top-Ranked Transfer Target

Well we know one thing is certain, Oregon is not messing around when it comes to the transfer portal. On Friday some more big news hit with a massive visitor on campus this weekend.
Texas A&M defensive line transfer Walter Nolen is the No. 1 ranked transfer in the On3 rankings. The 6-foot-4, 345-pounder is considered to be one of the top defensive linemen in the country. He’s an instant difference-maker in any defense.
The news was first reported by 247’s Steve Wiltfong and later confirmed with our sources at Oregon.

Nolen signed with Texas A&M as part of its 2022 class. At the time he was the No. 1 ranked player in the country and top-ranked defensive lineman. He recorded 37 total tackles and 4 sacks with the Aggies last season.
While this visit alone is massive, the Ducks are also hosting Oklahoma quarterback transfer Dillon Gabriel this weekend. Both are considered to be top-ranked transfers by all recruiting services.
It’s clear Lanning is going with quality not quantity in the transfer portal this year. The Ducks don’t have a ton of holes to fill but will target top-ranked talent at certain positions.
