Since joining the Big Ten, Oregon has been a part of some big games already. But they will be featured once again this season as they close out September in Happy Valley.
Oregon and Penn State both figure to be at least top 10 teams, potentially top 5 teams this season. And they will meet on September 27. It figures to be a huge road test for Oregon and has the makings of a ‘white out’ in Happy Valley.
ESPN ranked its top 10 games for this upcoming season and this one registered at No. 5 on the list.
A rematch of last season’s Big Ten Championship game, Penn State will host the Ducks for the first time since 1964, and the first time as conference foes. The two teams did not meet in the regular season during Oregon’s first season in the conference.
The game will serve as Penn State’s conference home opener. Oregon will already have kicked off conference play against Northwestern by that point.
Here are the top 10 games from ESPN:
- Texas @ Ohio State (Aug. 30)
- Alabama @ Georgia (Sept. 27)
