Ducks 'Win the Week' In Epic CFB Ratings

It’s official, the “Deion Tax” paid off big this weekend for Oregon. As expected the numbers are in and the Oregon-Colorado game this week was a hit. In the movies they would call it a box office smash.
It wasn’t just the Oregon-Colorado game that set records on Saturday. It was college football. It was reportedly the most watched regular season Saturday in college football history. ESPN reports roughly 12 billion total minutes were consumed across all networks.
Oregon and Colorado led the way however with roughly 10.4 million viewers. As we’re all well aware now, the Ducks won 42-6 and had the game well in hand by half time. Dan Lanning urged fans at halftime to ‘stick around’ and it appears they did.

This was one of the most watched games in “Oregon progrum” history and in the Pac-12 since 2006. And the drama surrounding the game, the outcome and comments has continued to create a national buzz.
Love him or hate him, it’s clear Deion Sanders is good for ‘the box office.’ The Buffs now take their 3-1 record this week for another tall order, the USC Trojans.
Oregon will head to Palo Alto this Saturday to put its 4-0 record on the line.
