Emmanuel Pregnon: "They had what I needed to grow as a player."

One of the big offseason transfers into Oregon was the Ducks adding interior offensive lineman Emmanuel Pregnon, a transfer from USC.
Pregnon comes in with a ton of experience and some NFL potential already. But Oregon will be putting together a fairly new group along the offensive line this season. Right now many consider Pregnon a leading candidate to earn a starting job at guard for the Ducks.
Here are some of his top comments from his interview Tuesday with the full video included below.

On Decision to Transfer to Oregon:
“The aspect of football, it felt like a lot of things that Oregon provided to my growth as a player. It was one of the main targets for me out of the portal. They had what I needed to grow as a player. In terms of just scheme, everything we run as an offense, I’ve been playing for quite a while now, the game of football is ever-expanding.”

On Practice Competition:
“I feel like with every practice, the guys pick up on certain cues that we have. You can see within every practice we are just picking up cues on each other making it more difficult. And that makes you better.”
On Offensive Growth:
“Becoming a more team-oriented mindset. We’re nearing that every day. In terms of talent, everything is there. Once we get that and we make it a more well-oiled machine.”
