Five Oregon players who didn't receive preseason all-conference recognition, but should have

On Tuesday, the Pac-12 announced its preseason all-conference teams and a total of 14 Oregon Ducks made the cut. Running back Bucky Irving and defensive end Brandon Dorlus cracked the All-Pac-12 first-team, while defensive back Evan Williams and placekicker Camden Lewis made the second team. Additionally, 10 Ducks received honorable mention nods — quarterback Bo Nix, receiver Troy Franklin, tight end Terrance Ferguson, offensive lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson, offensive lineman Josh Conerly Jr., offensive lineman Ajani Cornelius, EDGE Jordan Burch, linebacker Jeffrey Bassa, defensive back Trikweze Bridges, and defensive back Nikko Reed. Oregon has the second-most players featured among the preseason all-conference group. And yet, there are still a handful of Ducks who could realistically perform at an all-conference level in 2023.
