The Ducks keep pushing for elite talent on both sides of the ball. One of those top defensive targets is Shaker Heights (Ohio) safety Trey McNutt.

And the nation’s No. 22 overall player has locked in his official visit with Oregon On3’s Chad Simmons reports. McNutt will visit Oregon on June 21 which is the final weekend available in the June visit period. That’s a big win for the Ducks coaching staff.

Simmons also reports McNutt will visit Texas A&M the weekend before, on June 14. He has already visited USC and Florida officially the past two weeks.

On Oregon: “Coach Dan (Lanning), his passion and how he is as a coach, he’s just different. I can see that they’re building the program up and they’re trying to get a national championship. They want it over there.”

McNutt is the No. 2 ranked safety in the On3 Industry Rankings. Currently Ohio State leads the On3 RPM at 58.8% with Oregon trailing the Buckeyes.
