Former Oregon Duck Jayson Jones announces transfer to Auburn

Jayson Jones, Oregon’s former defensive tackle, has found his next stop.
Jones announced Friday morning on Twitter that he will transfer to Auburn.
A former 4-star signee, Jones played a reserve role for the Ducks this season and was an impact player toward the end of the year.
There was some optimism among Duck fans that he might exit the transfer portal and stay at Oregon after the hiring of Dan Lanning. But the Calera, Ala., native will instead return to his home state and play for the Tigers.

Jones played in all 13 games for the Ducks in 2021 and recorded 19 tackles and 1.5 sacks. He saw an uptick in playing time and productivity late in the year and seemed to be hitting his stride for the Ducks.
However, it appears he has played his last game for Oregon. Jones was the No. 341 overall player in the class of 2020 and the No. 37 defensive lineman.
