Iapani Laloulu Prepared for Start of Season

One of the biggest storylines from Oregon’s Fall camp so far has been the talk at center. Most expected Iapani Laloulu to anchor the middle of the offensive line at center this season. But injuries have moved some pieces around and now we are hearing about Charlie Pickard at center with Poncho moving to guard.
Dan Lanning has not formally confirmed this move to be permanent, temporary or even how Oregon will start the season.
On Wednesday Poncho met with media following practice and talked about the group and his growth through Fall camp.
On Fall Camp:
“Kind of excited. Gamedays almost here. Time just flew by in Fall camp. Can’t wait to play with the guys.”

On Moving to Guard:
“Nothing new to me. I can play wherever coach needs me. Especially on the interior. It’s kind of natural for me.”
On Charlie Pickard:
“Charlie he’s a real leader. It shows in the things he does off the field. He’s that type of a leader I can count on.”
On the OL Group:
“We’re connected, we’re really tight. The way we move on the field, the communication.”
