Will you be watching college football still this weekend or conquering that lingering honey-do list? You know the list you’ve been dreading and staring at for a month now. The Ducks don’t play so now is your chance.

I’ll probably skip it and watch college football like many of you.

The good news for Oregon is, even with the bye, they don’t need any help. They really control their own destiny with minimal on the line. This bye week couldn’t have come at a better time. Sitting between two top ten games, after five games, the last being a super physical contest.

Hopefully the team, coaches and us fans can enjoy some other games this weekend. Here’s what I’m excited to watch.

(9) Texas @ Florida

12:30 ESPN

This is exactly the kind of game Florida sneaks out of nowhere and wins. I mean they haven’t looked especially great but it has the ingredients to happen. Not to mention Sark struggles in big games at times. That’s probably a reason why you see Texas only being favored by 6.5 points.

I’ll pick the upset, just because.

(16) Vanderbilt @ (10) Bama

12:30 ABC

Bama is a 10.5 point favorite and that might not be enough. I’ve really enjoyed the “Vandy Cinderella” story but I think it’s coming to an end. Kalen Deboer was left for dead to start the season with the loss to Florida State. But give him credit, he’s bounced back and has the Tide rolling including a big win over Georgia between the Hedges.

Washington @ Maryland

12:30 Big Ten

You know you’re going to keep an eye on it at the very least. I’m surprised how confident Washington fans are but they clearly just had a ‘heavyweight fight’ with Ohio State so maybe they are game ready. Huskies should win. Should. The line is only at 6.5 points for the Huskies.

(3) Miami @ (18) FSU

4:30 ABC

If you were hoping for a full day of big games, sorry to disappoint. There’s a few quality games though. This one is Mario’s big chance at cementing Miami’s status. Don’t get me wrong, they have some really strong wins already. But beating FSU will keep them among that top three and is basically the ONLY test they have left on their schedule.
