The Oregon Ducks will be in a primetime television slot next Saturday for their rivalry showdown with the Washington Huskies.

The No. 8 Ducks (8-1, 6-0 Pac-12) will host the Huskies (7-2, 4-2) at 4 p.m. PT at Autzen Stadium in Eugene. The game will air on FOX.

The kickoff time was announced Sunday morning and could spell good news for Oregon as it aims to bolster its College Football Playoff resume. By avoiding the late kickoff window, the Ducks will have a chance to make a statement in front of a national audience while facing a quality opponent.

The Huskies are coming off a 24-21 win over No. 23 Oregon State in Seattle. The Ducks boat raced Colorado 49-10 in Boulder on Saturday.

Following the victory, Oregon coach Dan Lanning was asked about the ensuing rivalry matchup.

“I’m excited. Obviously, this is a game that our fans are passionate about,” Lanning said. “I certainly understand the expectation for our team and so do our players. We want to go out there and execute at a high level. They’re playing really well. They had a tough win (Friday) in a unique environment. So, we have to go out there and play well. When we get out there on the field I promise our guys will be ready.”

Last season, Oregon topped Washington 26-16 in Seattle. It proved to be a decisive loss for former Huskies’ coach Jimmy Lake, who was fired shortly after.
