Mel Kiper Jr. Has Two Oregon Players Inside His Top-10 on Latest NFL Draft Big Board
The 2025 regular season has come to a close and college football fans across the country can’t wait for the start of the College Football Playoff. Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks (11-1, 8-1 Big Ten) drew the No. 5 seed and a home matchup against the James Madison Dukes (12-1, 8-0 Sun Belt) on December 20.
As the regular season ends, NFL Draft discussion and speculation ramp up, with top players needing to make their decisions. ESPN’s Mel Kiper has two Oregon players inside the top-10 of his latest big board released this week.
QB Dante Moore: No. 1
2025 stats: 227-313 (72.5%) | 2,733, 24 passing TD, 6 INT | 57 carries, 191 rushing yards, 1 TD
Kiper: Moore is a third-year sophomore with some impressive traits. His accuracy has been solid all season, and he shows good touch on his deep ball. Moore can throw from different arm angles with precision and delivers strikes while rolling either left or right out of the pocket. He can scramble a bit too.
Moore started five games at UCLA in 2023 before sitting behind Dillon Gabriel in 2024, so he has only 17 career starts to date. Moore is still developing and will be only 20 years old at draft time. But the toolbox is loaded, and he plays with true command of the Ducks’ offense. I see a lot of confidence in Moore’s game; nothing ever seems to faze him.

Torres’ Take: Moore has given Oregon fans just about everything they could’ve wanted this season, putting together a seamless transition from Gabriel. He had a number of clutch throws in November that helped the Ducks escape the month unscathed with a perfect 4-0 record and punch their ticket to the playoffs. He was asked to run more with multiple starting wide receivers hurt and he did what Will Stein needed him to do. He’s been decisive and taken care of the ball, with his lone blemish of the year being a 30-20 loss to Indiana. He may not boast as much starting experience as your typical top draft pick, but that hasn’t seemed to hurt his draft stock. It’d be a blast to cover him for another season but it’s hard to see him returning if he’s a top-five draft pick.
TE Kenyon Sadiq: No. 8
2025 stats: 40 catches, 490 receiving yards, 8 touchdowns
Kiper: Sadiq is loaded with physical traits. He has the explosion to hurdle defenders in the open field. He has the vision and speed to cause conflict after the catch, with almost half his 2025 yardage coming after the ball is in his hands. And he’s nearly impossible to match against because of his quickness and size. Sadiq has been consistent this season, and he should be the first tight end off the board.
Torres’ Take: The John Mackey Award may have gone to Vanderbilt’s Eli Stowers this week recognizing the nation’s top tight end, but Sadiq is one of the biggest athletic freaks in college football. He’s been a key part of the Oregon offense and helped keep the offense churning with multiple wide receivers being unavailable in November. He can block, run routes, catch and make plays with the ball in his hand. Whatever you need, he can do it all. I don’t think many Oregon fans are holding out hope that he’ll return. It feels like a lock that he turns pro.
