New On3 RPM Favorite for 5-Star Linebacker Justin Williams

One of the top names on Oregon’s 2024 recruiting board remains at large. However, things have been trending away from the Ducks for the past few weeks with Oak Ridge (Texas) linebacker Justin Williams.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder is the No. 9 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. Williams is the No. 1 ranked linebacker nationally.

Up until last week, Oregon had been the favorite in the On3 RPM for months. However a slew (4) of Georgia picks from various analysts in the On3 network have swung the Dawgs into the top spot. The On3 RPM now gives Georgia a 52.3% chance to land the 5-Star. Moving Oregon into the No. 2 spot at 45.8%.

Recently Williams told On3’s Chad Simmons Oregon and Georgia were in a ‘really tight battle.’

“I think it’s going to be hard to make that decision because they’re both like family, Georgia and Oregon,” Williams said. “Oregon has been there for a long time, so obviously that’s going to be hard, and I just recently started getting close to Georgia. It is really tight between those schools right now.”

Williams also said a decision could come by the end of the month but had no definitive date in mind.

Oregon currently has two linebackers committed in the 2024 class. In recent weeks the Ducks were able to land commitments from Dylan Williams and Kamar Mothudi. Oregon has 20 commits and the No. 11 class in the nation per the On3 network.
